Our products enable companies to provide high quality music recommendations and empower music fans to easily explore and delight in new listening experiences. We take the guesswork out of song selection, allowing people to rediscover forgotten songs in their digital music library and be introduced to new music based on the songs they already love.

How We've Grown

Headquartered in Monrovia, California, MusicIP was founded in 2000 as a division of the Parasoft Corporation. Over the next few years, intensive research and development was conducted, as the core set of acoustic algorithms were carefully finetuned.

Today, MusicIP continues to refine and expand the music recognition and playlisting technology that powers products such as Memorex's line of MP3 players and Disneys' Mix Max and Mix Stick devices, while continuing to develop innovative software and plug-ins for personal music collections.

The infinite possibilities of what MusicIP's products and services are capable of. Playing on the acronym for both intellectual property and Internet protocol, two terms with far less friendly definitions, reflects the company's mission to open up the world of music and spark music enjoyment from anywhere.
