Andrew Stess

Over a span of more than 15 years, Andrew Stess has earned his reputation for being a deal-closer, relationship-builder and revenue driver for companies in established and emerging technologies. He is experienced in the digital media, consumer electronics and technology spaces, and now as CEO of MusicIP, Andrew drives the company's overall strategy, growth and continued innovation. His team especially relies on his technical knowledge, sales expertise and passion for music.

Previously, Andrew spent several years with All Media Guide (AMG) as vice president of consumer electronics, a division which he launched and where he built the company’s CE licensing from the ground up. While there Andrew established important strategic relationships with a substantial number of leading-edge companies including Playstation®3, Apple, Delphi, Yahoo!, AOL, Bang & Olufsen, RealNetworks and MP3Tunes. He has also held senior business development roles at Liquid Audio and Gracenote, where he pioneered the licensing of media recognition in consumer electronics devices and media player applications.

An internationally sought-after speaker in the digital music space, Andrew has spoken at Digital Music Forum, iHollywood Music 2.0, Telematics Update and other industry conferences, tradeshows and events.

In addition to his success in the digital media industry, Andrew is an ASCAP writer and publisher. He has composed music for radio, film and television and has played Bass for thirty years.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Music in Film Composing from Berklee College of Music.


Marc Campbell

Marc Campbell

Marc has over 25 years experience in advanced computing technology, new product launches and business development. Marc is responsible for the far-sighted device-capable architecture of MusicIP’s scalable music identification and discovery solutions available on portable media, software and online partner sites.

His past work experience includes, Predixis (now MusicIP), Northrop Grumman, Hughes Aircraft, Spectradyne and Custom Music Systems. Marc has directly engaged companies to improve existing product designs, create new product lines and form strategic intercompany relationships.

Marc has a M.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering & Intelligent Systems from the University of Southern California, and was the recipient of the Hughes Fellowship during his studies.


Wendell Hicken

Wendell Hicken
Founder and CTO

Wendell is the chief architect for the MusicIP technology platform and has worked in the digital music space since the late 1990’s. Using his background in process automation and parallel processing, he developed the early systems of the MusicMagic technology.

Formerly, Vice President of Advanced Research and Development for Parasoft for 16 years, he played a major role in all facets of product development, from the initial design phase, through development until final product release. He has also been essential to the conception, implementation and continued development of products such as WebKing, RuleWizard, CodeWizard, and Insure++, as well as the technologies that drive them.

Additionally, Wendell is heavily involved in the development of many new Web based innovations and as a result has authored and co-authored numerous patents. He is the co-author of the book, Bulletproofing Web Applications, and the developer of the shareware software game, "Scorched Earth."

Wendell holds a BS in Engineering and Applied Science from the California Institute of Technology.


Scott Lehr

VP Sales, Strategy & Business Development

Scott is an industry veteran spending the last decade growing popular companies in the digital media, internet and information services industries. He has a proven track record in setting and achieving objectives through developing domestic and international sales channels and strategic partnerships. A focused senior-level manager and deal-maker, Scott has experience negotiating complex agreements with major media, retail, internet, CE, Mobile and entertainment companies, including global brands such as Apple, Fox Interactive, Microsoft, eBay, AOL and Yahoo!

Before MusicIP, Scott was formerly SVP Strategy & Business Development at MyStrands. Prior to that, Scott spent 11 years building the sales and business development organization for Muze Inc as their VP of Global Business Development.

Scott graduated from Syracuse University with a major in Political Science.
