The MusicIP Winamp plug-in will first need to analyze each track in your media collection. To begin the analysis process, open Winamp and its Media Library (accessible via the View menu > Media Library, if it is not already displayed). Based on your settings, the Media Library may automatically appear when Winamp is opened.
Use the vertical scrollbar to find “MusicIP Mix” at the bottom of the library list. Upon selection of this item, the plug-in’s introductory window will appear on the right-hand side of the screen (Figure 1).

Once the Media Library appears, you must direct it to the location of your music collection. Simply go to the Media Library’s File menu > Add Media to Library (Figure 2).

When the Add Media to Library window appears, select the directory that contains your music collection and click the OK button (Figure 3).

Making sure that “MusicIP Mix” is selected in the library list, click the “Start Processing” button at the bottom of the Media Library window (Figure 4).

The first time you use the plug-in, a text box will appear when you click the “Start Processing” button. Click “Next” to proceed (Figure 5) and begin analyzing your music collection.

You will be asked to initialize analysis, which is done by clicking the “Start” button (Figure 6).

The status bar at the bottom of the Media Library window will change, indicating analysis progress (Figure 7). The status bar will also report how many tracks within your collection are “mixable,” or ready to be used for creating playlists.

Once analysis has completed successfully, a dialog box indicating the total number of processed tracks will be provided (Figure 8).
